FAQ

Questions on scope and eligibility

What does Stead Global help businesses with?

Stead Global helps SMEs with documentation readiness review, referral assessment, and administrative follow-up for business account readiness, supplier payment requirement review, and trade finance readiness review through independent regulated third-party providers where applicable.

Does Stead Global provide bank accounts directly?

No. Stead Global is not a bank, deposit-taking institution, electronic money institution, or payment institution. Where account or payment services are required, they are provided by independent regulated third-party providers, subject to their onboarding, compliance review, and approval.

Does Stead Global issue virtual IBANs?

No. Stead Global does not issue IBANs or virtual IBANs. We may assist with documentation readiness review and provider referral assessment for independent regulated third-party providers that offer account, IBAN, or payment services, subject to eligibility and approval.

Can Stead Global help with supplier payments?

Stead Global can review supplier payment requirements and assess referral suitability to independent regulated providers where required. Stead Global does not hold client funds, operate payment accounts, execute regulated payment services directly, or act as a payment processor, collection account, remittance intermediary, or pass-through route. Supplier payments must be made by the client through the client’s own bank or provider account.

Is this always a bank account?

No. Depending on the provider and the case, a solution may involve a bank account, an EMI or payment institution account, a PSP or provider platform, or another regulated structure using underlying banking partners. Stead Global avoids describing every route as a “bank account” and uses the structure confirmed by the relevant provider.

Will the account or payment details be in my company’s name?

In many cases, a provider may issue account or payment details in the client company’s own business name. However, this depends on the provider, country, currency, compliance review, and account structure. Whether details are in the client’s name, offered as local or SWIFT details, multi-currency balances, or wallet-style structures must be confirmed directly by the provider before use.

Where are accounts or payment details provided?

That depends on the provider and the client’s eligibility. Some providers may offer multi-currency account details, local account details, SWIFT details, wallet-style payment institution accounts, or structures using underlying banking partners. The exact setup is confirmed by the provider, not by Stead Global. We aim to clarify whether the route involves a bank, EMI, PSP, payment institution, or provider platform before referral where possible.

Why use Stead Global instead of applying directly?

A client can apply directly to a provider if they wish. The benefit of Stead Global is preparation and provider selection. Many SMEs do not know how to explain their activity clearly, which documents a provider will expect, or which provider type fits their corridor and transaction flow. We help organise the case before referral, which may save time and reduce avoidable rejection risk.

What documents may be needed?

Depending on the provider and case, documents may include a trade licence or incorporation certificate, shareholder and director records, passport or national ID and proof of address, a company profile or website, bank statements if available, invoices or purchase orders or contracts, supplier and buyer details, expected transaction volumes, countries and currencies involved, and an explanation of business activity and payment purpose. Exact requirements are set by the provider.

What happens if a provider declines the case?

Provider rejection can happen. If a provider declines, we may review the reason if available and assess whether the issue relates to documents, activity, geography, industry, risk appetite, ownership, or transaction flow. If another provider route may be suitable, we can discuss options. No alternative outcome or approval is guaranteed.

Can Stead Global help with trade finance?

Stead Global may assist with documentation readiness review, transaction-readiness review, and referral assessment for trade finance requirements through suitable independent regulated third-party providers. Any facility, pricing, or disbursement is subject to partner review and approval.

Who can use Stead Global's support?

Our support is intended for SMEs, traders, importers, exporters, and businesses with cross-border commercial requirements. Suitability depends on business activity, jurisdiction, documentation, transaction profile, and partner eligibility criteria.

Does Stead Global guarantee approval?

No. Stead Global does not guarantee onboarding, account opening, payment services, trade finance approval, pricing, limits, or timelines. Services through independent regulated third-party providers are subject to their review and approval.

Does Stead Global hold or control client funds?

No. Stead Global does not hold, safeguard, custody, or control client funds. Any regulated account, payment, settlement, or financing activity is handled by the relevant regulated third-party provider where applicable.
